My dearest friends, family, blogger, and blogger readers and to anyone else out there, we have made it!
As We Farewell to 2011, let us not forget about all of the people that we have lost on the way. Family members, politicians, friends, kings, monarchs, dictators, etc.
I am most definite thankful for the adventures this year! I would have to say, this year has been a remarkable, memorable one for me that I will cherish for the rest of my life! I will never forget 2011.
Hold on to your seats, we are almost there!
Have A Great New Year!

Days Are Numbered!
So yes- there are 2 days left until the end of 2011! May I say, this has been a year full of fun, excitement, joy, laughter, tears, and most of all, family time! I have had a really good year starting with passing the ECA in Algebra, and the end of the school year!
I enjoyed my vacation in the Philippines with my parents, siblings, and we got to see our cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and extended family members. I have to admit, 2011 whatta year! I have had the opportunity to meet Fr. Fernando Suarez, the healing priest, I got to see the Manila Cathedral in person, and we got to enjoy a night at the famous Manila Hotel. I also got to see the Manila Bay, Rizal Monument, the Quirino Grandstand, family members during Michelle's 7th birthday, and many more!
Oh- this would not have been possible without the help of God! I thank God for the many opportunities that he has given me, and I look forward to another great year!
Here We Come!

Oh Come Oh Come Emmanuel!
WELCOME!
I would like to wish you and your families a Merry Merry Christmas! Today, our Savior, Jesus Christ, was brought into the world so that we may be saved. So together with the choirs of Archangels, and Angels, Thrones, and Dominions, Powers and Virtues, Seraphim and Cherubim, we proclaim the birth of Christ!
Now- here are some pics from last night's nucho buena, gift opening, our little "chapel" at home, and other decorations around the house.
My sisters Fatima and Michelle, in front of the Nativity Scene at Holy Trinity after the Evening Mass.
My family on Christmas Eve, after Mass.
Our Chapel inside the house. It is decorated with garlands, bows, lights, and has a total of 20 candles! Benedictine style!
From My Family to Yours, Merry Christmas!

Gloria In Excelsis Deo!
"In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be enrolled. This was the first enrollment, when Quirini-us was governor of Syria. And all went to be enrolled, each to his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the city of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be enrolled with Mary, his betrothed, who was with Child. And while they were there, the time came for her to be delivered. And she gave birth to her first-born Son and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.
And in that region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with fear. And the angel said to them, "Be not afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which will come to all the people; for to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a babe wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger." And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased!"
~ Luke 2:1-14

WELCOME!
A little something that I have read on the internet..
"Most terribly cold it was; it snowed, and was nearly quite dark, and evening-- the last evening of the year. In this cold and darkness there went along the street a poor little girl, bareheaded, and with naked feet. When she left home she had slippers on, it is true; but what was the good of that? They were very large slippers, which her mother had hitherto worn; so large were they; and the poor little thing lost them as she scuffled away across the street, because of two carriages that rolled by dreadfully fast.
One slipper was nowhere to be found; the other had been laid hold of by an urchin, and off he ran with it; he thought it would do capitally for a cradle when he some day or other should have children himself. So the little maiden walked on with her tiny naked feet, that were quite red and blue from cold. She carried a quantity of matches in an old apron, and she held a bundle of them in her hand. Nobody had bought anything of her the whole livelong day; no one had given her a single farthing.
She crept along trembling with cold and hunger--a very picture of sorrow, the poor little thing!
The flakes of snow covered her long fair hair, which fell in beautiful curls around her neck; but of that, of course, she never once now thought. From all the windows the candles were gleaming, and it smelt so deliciously of roast goose, for you know it was New Year's Eve; yes, of that she thought.
In a corner formed by two houses, of which one advanced more than the other, she seated herself down and cowered together. Her little feet she had drawn close up to her, but she grew colder and colder, and to go home she did not venture, for she had not sold any matches and could not bring a farthing of money: from her father she would certainly get blows, and at home it was cold too, for above her she had only the roof, through which the wind whistled, even though the largest cracks were stopped up with straw and rags.
Her little hands were almost numbed with cold. Oh! a match might afford her a world of comfort, if she only dared take a single one out of the bundle, draw it against the wall, and warm her fingers by it. She drew one out. "Rischt!" how it blazed, how it burnt! It was a warm, bright flame, like a candle, as she held her hands over it: it was a wonderful light. It seemed really to the little maiden as though she were sitting before a large iron stove, with burnished brass feet and a brass ornament at top. The fire burned with such blessed influence; it warmed so delightfully. The little girl had already stretched out her feet to warm them too; but--the small flame went out, the stove vanished: she had only the remains of the burnt-out match in her hand.
She rubbed another against the wall: it burned brightly, and where the light fell on the wall, there the wall became transparent like a veil, so that she could see into the room. On the table was spread a snow-white tablecloth; upon it was a splendid porcelain service, and the roast goose was steaming famously with its stuffing of apple and dried plums. And what was still more capital to behold was, the goose hopped down from the dish, reeled about on the floor with knife and fork in its breast, till it came up to the poor little girl; when--the match went out and nothing but the thick, cold, damp wall was left behind. She lighted another match. Now there she was sitting under the most magnificent Christmas tree: it was still larger, and more decorated than the one which she had seen through the glass door in the rich merchant's house.
Thousands of lights were burning on the green branches, and gaily-colored pictures, such as she had seen in the shop-windows, looked down upon her. The little maiden stretched out her hands towards them when--the match went out. The lights of the Christmas tree rose higher and higher, she saw them now as stars in heaven; one fell down and formed a long trail of fire.
"Someone is just dead!" said the little girl; for her old grandmother, the only person who had loved her, and who was now no more, had told her, that when a star falls, a soul ascends to God.
She drew another match against the wall: it was again light, and in the lustre there stood the old grandmother, so bright and radiant, so mild, and with such an expression of love.
"Grandmother!" cried the little one. "Oh, take me with you! You go away when the match burns out; you vanish like the warm stove, like the delicious roast goose, and like the magnificent Christmas tree!" And she rubbed the whole bundle of matches quickly against the wall, for she wanted to be quite sure of keeping her grandmother near her. And the matches gave such a brilliant light that it was brighter than at noon-day: never formerly had the grandmother been so beautiful and so tall. She took the little maiden, on her arm, and both flew in brightness and in joy so high, so very high, and then above was neither cold, nor hunger, nor anxiety--they were with God.
But in the corner, at the cold hour of dawn, sat the poor girl, with rosy cheeks and with a smiling mouth, leaning against the wall--frozen to death on the last evening of the old year. Stiff and stark sat the child there with her matches, of which one bundle had been burnt. "She wanted to warm herself," people said. No one had the slightest suspicion of what beautiful things she had seen; no one even dreamed of the splendor in which, with her grandmother she had entered on the joys of a new year."

I Admit- I Had Fun!
WELCOME!
Yesterday and this morning might have been one of the I wouldn't say weird, but awesome days ever. Ok- so Erika Miller and I have this project to do in World History class. We decided it would be over Chinese food, and boy might I say, it turned out pretty fine! She came Sunday at 3pm and left around 7pm. We rolled the spring rolls, and talked and stuff. Then this morning at 5am, she came to my house and we finished cooking the noodles.
Her mom, Mrs. Miller, then gave us a ride to school. It was sort of akward, but I thought that it was fine. I mean no harm done. Anyways, so her mom gave us a ride and we unloaded the stuff to Mrs. Minch's room, and boy, people were smelling it like crazy! We cooked a total of 3 trays of noodles, and about 60 spring rolls, but we only got to bring in like 50 pieces cause that's all we got to coook.
After that we presented and might I say, I think that Mr. McKean, Mr. McClung, Mrs. Martin, Mrs. Minch and Miss Monticue enjoyed it. After the presentation, we still had food remaining so we gave them all to whoever came. People like John, Michaela, Sam, Lauren and Morgan - to name a couple, came which really made my day.
Now, you might be thinking, do I like Erika Miller, the answer is no. However, I do want to ask her to the school dance in January, but I just don't have the guts to. Maybe it's because she will say no. People say she wont but deep down I know that she will- im not stupid. I admit I had fun working with her, and it wasn't akward or anything, now, only if she would say yes to Stardust. Will I ask her? ------ ehh probably not. O well, there is always next year!

Whatta Way! .... to... Bright'n My Day!
WELCOME!
So this week in health class, we have been discussing abstinence and safe sex stuff. Now, we had the alive and wellness person named Melissa Thompson to come and talked to us about all this. At the end of the week, we had to choose between the poinsettia, or a prize. Most people were like "Give Von Erick the poinsettia!", and hey the people got what they wanted, and I did!
Here is how it looks like in our dining room (temporary place, til I find a place to put it)
Christmas is 16 days aways! It is so close but it feels so far away!

Immaculate Mary Your Praises We Sing!
My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
my spirit rejoices in God my Savior
for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed:
the Almighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his Name.
He has mercy on those who fear him
in every generation.
He has shown the strength of his arm,
he has scattered the proud in their conceit.
He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,
and has lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things,
and the rich he has sent away empty.
He has come to the help of his servant Israel
for he has remembered his promise of mercy,
the promise he made to our fathers,
to Abraham and his children for ever.

Does It Resemble?
WELCOME!
Ok, so about 2 months ago, I posted that my buddy Kris and I were going to make well try to attempt making Saint Peters Basilica in Rome for a project in Mrs. Minch's World History Class. All I have to say is that, after 2 months, about 25 hours, abuot $30.00 worth of materials we are done!
Here is how it looked like (by the way the background is at Mrs. Minch's classroom)
Here is an image that I found from google images.
Some people say that it looks soo great! and some said that it was simply "ok". To me, I think taht Kris and I put all our efforts in it and that we have tried our best so whatever we get, we get.
Now the question is: What do you think, does it resemble??

I Feel Blessed!...
WELCOME!
For the past two (2) days, I had the privilege to travel to Indianapolis for the National Catholic Youth Convention and to help out with Fountains of Hope organization that installs water purifying systems to take to third (3rd) world countries like Haiti, India etc. So I was so happy and very thankful for the opportunity to help out with this great cause!
So Thursdsay we left the school hopped on the while short bus and headed for Indianapolis! I enjoyed the ride on the way there with people. I also got to meet two (2) new people. Alissa McMillen and JD Keller. Alissa is the daughter of Gary McMillan and JD is the elementary business teacher here at South Adams. Anyways, back to my story.
So Thursday we went to Indianapolis and we saw tons of people and booths. We also showed a couple of people how to install water purifying systems, and give them facts about it. Technically, there wasn't a group assigned, but throughout the past 2 days I was part of Ellerie and Abbie's group.
So the whole Thursday that's what we did, after that we checked into a hotel, got a room, unpacked and got ready to eat. Now, Chili's wasn't the first thing on my mind, but I figured that it would be fine, since I don't always get to eat out with people that I normally don't hang out with. Supper went by pretty well, we went back to the hotel and hung out at the lobby for at least two hours, it was ridiculous but it was fun!
Friday morning came, breakfast and then back to the Indianapolis Convention Center for another exciting day working with Fountains of Hope. Abbie, Ellerie and I ended up selling water bottles for the proceeds going to the organization! Well there are so many things that I want to say, but I am just so tired and I need to head to bed, I have a whole day full of homework, and essays to write! But overall, the trip was exciting, and I am thankful for God for giving me this day always, and for giving me this life that I truly take advantage off!
Have A Wonderful Day!

I can not believe that it is already (almost) half way through the month of November! I also can not believe that the school is about one- fourth compeleted! So many things are happening and boy is my calendar booked already for the months of November and December. Things that are coming up ahead:

This is how much we got from the whole yard! Front and back! WOw.. whatta day I tell you!! I am so ready to take a break, take a shower, eat supper and head for bed!
Have A Great Day!

Extraordinary Day!
WELCOME!
Today has been such a great day! Filled with fun, excitement, and joy! I woke up and got ready for church. After church and Religion Class we went out to eat at Bearcreek Farms! The food turned out to be delicious! I enjoyed it! The roast beef, the mashed potatoes and most of all the cheesecake oh what a joy! I tell you!
WHen we were done eating, my mom paid and then we left. I decided that I should drive you know, so I did. So yeah pretty smooth ride on the way home, nothing major happened. When we got home, we had cake! Red velvet cake was delicious! I am stuffed!
After cake eating, we went to the park. Well I took my siblings to the annual park Harvest Festival. This year's festival was better than last year. This year it featured animals, a little zoo, sponge toss, hay ride, and it was just fun and exciting!
Now, something to reflect on today, I am happy that I have made it this far in life. I mean really, I didn't know that I was going to make it this far and I thank God for every blessed day he gives me. I also thank my parents and siblings for being there with me all these years. I had such a great blessed day, I love it! I don't want it to end! As of today, I am now a year close to retirement!

It's Been....................... A WHILE!
WELCOME!
It has been about a week since I updated my blog and I think today is the day that I am updating it. Anyways, this past week has been intense, tiring, and suprising! First of all, it has been intense because today we took the PSAT (preliminary SAT) to see how much we know, and trust me, it was one of the most fastest test yet boring test that I have taken in my life. I know that it isn't for a grade, but I was very stressed about it since Monday!
What else is going on? Well project is going well in Mrs. Minch's class we are about 5 weeks and we will be done! Hooray! Kris has been coming 2x a week and we have been working on it for about 3 hours to 4 hours. Chemistry is a killer, the project is due Friday and I finally found out what I am going to use, (ill post pics later). Earth and Space Test is Friday, along with Algebra II and Geometry!
Yikes! Friday is also the end of the nine weeks, which is suprising because it feels like yesterday it was the first day and it already feels like tomorrow is the last day. Oh who am I kidding, this year has gone by slooooow! Ok, welll Friday is the last home football game so the last time I will perform in the field. (Yes I might not do MBand next year, haven't decided yet). Oh well, Fall is here, time to take the rake out!

A Very Productive Day!
WELCOME!
Today has been a day full of fun and excitement! Of course my day started with waking up for church. 5:30 should be pretty early. Took a shower and then got ready for church. During Mass, Father Reeses explained his mission in Africa, very sad situation, but as long as we contribute and pray everything should be fine (I hope). After church I watch the Religion Classes practice for the "Living Rosary" next week. That went by pretty snazzy.
After church was over, got home and did a bit of cleaning, helped mom cook, and ate lunch. After lunch, we cleaned some more, and I did my essay and worked on my writing portfolio! Oh gracious! I can't believe how there is only 2 more weeks until the grading period is over! Anyways, well umm.. after that we prayed the Rosary, and then we ate fries and burgers! Boy they were delicious, then we watched a movie on Lifetime or was it Starz? Not sure, and now I am ready to go to bed! Tomorrow is Monday! Hooray (sense the sarcasm) :)
Have A Graet Day Everyone!

For all of you Catholic readers out there, today is the Feast Day of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus and of The Holy Face! Back in my home country, our city is having a big fiesta! Oh how I wish I could be there!
"Holy Trinity, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost, I thank Thee for all the blessings and favors Thou hast showered upon the soul of Thy servant Theresa of the Child Jesus, during the twenty-four years she spent here on earth, and in consideration of the merits of this Thy most beloved Saint, I beseech Thee to grant me this favor, if it is in accordance with Thy most Holy Will and is not an obstacle to my salvation."
Saint Therese of the Child Jesus and of the Holy Face, Pray for us.

Can We Build It?!?!
WELCOME!
So, my buddy Kris and I have a project we have to do in World History. As many of you are aware that our project was suppose to be on the Ten Commandments. Well yeah.. since Mr. Schwartz is going through some tough times now-a-days, we really haven't had the time to work on it since he has been absent. So this is what Mrs. Minch said, she will just grade our first nine weeks project for 2nd nine weeks when Mr. Schwartz is back. Pretty cool I guess, the bad part is, Kris and I have to now do another project for first nine weeks. As Kris and I were looking through, something caught both of our eyes. Why not to Saint Peter's Basilica in Rome!
So with the help of Judy, Jeff, Myron Schwartz and Mr. Shuck, we found boxes, platforms and got all the materials we need.
Now the question is, Can We Build It?
The Project isn't due for another 2 months for us since it is going to be a huge one! I mean the kid that did a project from last year said, it took him about a month and 3 weeks just to make a replica of the parthenon! So who knows??
Worse thing about this project is that I am now going to stay up even a bit later doing it! But, no worry, Kris and I negotiated that he will come every day for at least 3 hours so we can work on it together (since it is his project too) and then on Saturday's he will come over for about 6 hours, and who knows we might get this done before Christmas! (don't worry we'll post pics!)

Yeah.. I Think It Is Here.. Anyone Agrees?
WELCOME!
Well, It is official. It is officially Autumn and the weather is nice! (somewhat). Here right now it is in the 50's, our backyard is full of leaves to rake! Homecoming week is this week (yeah not a very fond fan of it!) and what else can I say, Fall is here! One of the things I do not like about this season that it tends to get cold and chilly in the morning! Specially when we have band practice! Also, not to forget the backyard is full of leaves. Weeks after weeks, it piles up more and more. It piles up so much that I don't even feel like going outside anymore to rake it! IT is ridiculous!
One of the positive things about fall, is that winter is almost here- yipee! (sense the sarcasm!) No really one of the fun things about Autumn is that Football games are wrapping up the season, and Halloween is almost coming, and Fall Break is almost here! Did I mention we only have about 147 more days to go til Summer Vacation! Oh, I can already sense the smell of the beach!

.... Just A Thought....
WELCOME
So, I have been asked by a couple of people what kind of a Catholic I was. If I was one of those modern ones, or one of the old ones who follows the pre- Vatican II rules. Which is today called Liberal or Conservative. Anyways, I consider myself a very conservative. I follow exactly well try to what the Bible and Church traditions are. I mean liberal and conservatives doesn't just appy to the Roman/ Eastern Churches but also the Protestant Church.
I prefer to attend Mass, at a church that has the old pre- Vatican II architecture, the ambo, the pulpit, the high altar, {the biretta, the zuchetto, the maniple} priest attire, etc..
So if you are a Catholic, out of curiosity, what type of church (by architecture) would you rather go to. Your choice. Your pick. Your decision.
As I said... Just a thought. (by the way, I won't be posting all Catholic stuff on here, i will still post exciting things that happen on a daily basis :)
Have A Great Day!

Caution: Busy Weekend Ahead!
WELCOME!
Wow- I can't hardly believe it, but Holy Trinity Catholic Church is turning 150 years old next week! The Mass begins at 10:30 - yes I am serving, and it will be a day full of festivities and fun activities! Don't worry I will post pics after church on Sunday.
So you may be wondering what is going to happen this week well here it is:
Friday- Home Football Game, South Adams vs. Leo (which is a pretty good team!) But, I am confident that after we beat them we will be 5-0! I can't wait, it is going to be one, epic, intense game! I mean the crowds will be chearing like crazy! Oh yeah!!
Saturday- Purdue Band Day! Bus leaves at 5am, and I tell you, waking up at that time of the day would not be a problem for me since I am a morning person. I told Anie that I was going to bring 2 boxes of donuts, and coffee for the ride their. She was pretty excited! I remember going last year, had a blast with Enos, Rain, Lauren, Anie, Shelby, Bree, Shauna and all the other people! It was such a blast!
Sunday- 150th Anniversary of Holy Trinity, pretty excited that I get to serve. Reception afterwards should be exciting and delicious.
I can't hardly wait! It will be an exciting week full of fun! Did I mention that I got a A- on my Algebra II test?? Pretty Excited!

It's Coming! Are You Excited??
For all the Catholics that read my blog: It is coming before we know it!
Yes my fellow Catholics, there are 79 Days remaining until it is here!
If you want to get a head start, and just desperate about the new translation, then the best site that you can find it is on the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops website! That is where I printed my copy. If you print it, its approximately 52 pages long, from Introduction to Ending.
Happy Learning!
