It's Monday!

WELCOME!

So today is Monday, the beginning of the week! Also, today is the first day back from Spring Break! It was a joy listening to people's story, and to see how tan they are now. Today has also been a great day. Even though Mrs. Miller wasn't there because her father-in-law died (which i feel sorry for), it was a great day. Now, I was expecting Campus Life tonight, but since there isn't one tonight- it feels good just going outside and enjoying the weather!

Ok, now since my conference the past last week, it makes me wonder, should I just leave now and go to the Seminary? Or should I keep living life and do it later on? I am thinking about just going now so it will save me time in the future, but it is very hard beacuse I have friends, not a lot not 10-15 people type of friends, but 1-3people who think I should just stay and go later. I don't know what I should do. Any suggestions?

Hanging with the Priests!

WELCOME!

So today has been one of the greatest day in Spring Break History! I got to spend Thursday evening until tomorrow morning with the Baytion family! There have Mass upstairs and overnight Adoration at their house, it's fun if you asked me. So today, my day consisted of waking up at 1 in the morning, and going to Mass, and morning prayers. I really enjoyed it! Then we ate breakfast and got started with our day! Our day was long, in consisted of visiting priests, churches, and relics!

First we went to Coldwater in Ohio and I got a chance to sit and listen at the conference room with Father Jose, Father Barry, and Father Walling. Now- the purpose of the conference was to promote the Alliance of the Two Hearts. Before I go on any further, this post is for Catholics only, not being racist and all but if you want to know more about it, then I will be more than happy to give you more information about it.

Ok with that said, lets go back to my day. After we went to Coldwater, we went to Saint Charles in Carthanega where it used to be a seminary, but now it's where retired priests live. I got a chance with Brother Alphonsus to talk to Father Charles during lunch. For lunch- since it is Lent but it is the Solemnity of the Annunciation we could eat meat! Now, when I was in line I thought that it was chicken, but turns out it was frog legs! It may sound gross but it tasted like chicken (it was just hard to chew).

While we were eating, Father Charles told us this story of how he is a retired priest, living at Saint Charles with his brother, and how his other brother is in Heaven and the other brother is a religious brother too. To the other table was the Baytions, I think it was a nun, Father Jose, Father Tom, Father Paul and Father Bensman. As I ate, and listened to Father Charles, I could hear Father Paul telling jokes about this and that, and made everyone in his table laugh.

After that Father Jose did the presentation of the Two Hearts. To me the presentation was presented well and that he did a really great job! See this is what inspires me to be a priest someday, maybe not an OATH priest but at least a priest. Also- as I looked at the Dining Area, I saw a lot of priests. Some were weak, some were strong and some well let's just say they looked like they were having a good time. Looking at those priests, made me wonder how good God really is. I mean really to call about 60 men to the priesthood/ religious life it is absolutely just magnificent!

Too me- it has been a graet experience and I am so blessed that I got that oppurtunity.

Have A Graet Weekened!

5'1'' Forever!

WELCOME!

Today has been what I would say a pretty good day. I woke up at 6:30am, and did some yard work. I got my morning walk, my morning cup of coffee, my morning prayers, and my morning dose of news! Then when I woke up Mom, Michelle and Faith we went to the recycling center here in Berne. I didn't even know Berne had a recycling center but it does!

Then after that I cleaned out the garage, did some more yard work and then got ready for lunch. Now- we ate lunch without dad today because we had to go to the doctor's office. The first time I went back to the doc's office in 2 and a half years. We only went cause Faith had to get her physical today. So mom told me I had to go with her because I had a checkup.

Now- I found some horrendous news today. For once I found out I was 45 pounds obese and that I am in the risk of either a heart attack, diabetes or high blood pressure. I also found out that I will be 5 foot 1 for the rest of my life. It sucks but o well. I'm never going to get girls now. It doesn't matter though. Anyways back to my day at the doctors- umm, yeah he pretty much told me that if i don't cut back on my eating and don't start excercising, someone is going to have a suckish life. So what I'm doing is- I am jogging for at least an hour and cutting back on the junk food. Wish me luck!

Hope You Had A Great Day!

Spring is FINALLY here! Thank Heavens!

WELCOME!

So as all of you are aware, here in this little town in Indiana it is Spring already. Thank God! Well Spring technically starts tomorrow but who cares, as long as the sun is out, the grass is green, the weather is in the 50's then yes, it is Spring! While everyone is gone to Florida, enjoying the sun, I'm here at home gardening, pulling weeds and trimming hedges- boring as it may seem, but it really isn't!

Here is a picture to prove that Spring is here!

Who knew Math could be so FUN?!?

WELCOME!

So as you all know it today is Pi day! Algebra today was very interesting. Wanna know why?- we did absolutely NOTHING! All we did was watch Pi videos, measure the circumference of a pie snack and that's about it! Mrs. Miller had a great day planned for us today, i really enjoyed it.

Since Spring Break is officially 4 days away, this week will go by very slow! It's always like that when something major comes up. Anyways, after school Mrs. Miller baked a Peanut Butter pie and Mrs. Sprunger, Kris, Chris I., Sue, and Karen Martin all went to her classroom and had a little get together. Mrs. Sprunger and I got a lot of things caught up with! The pie that Mrs. Miller baked was delicious! What a way to end my after school.

When I got home, I did some homework, and since the weather was feeling great, I decided to do some raking and yard cleaning outside. I put water back in the fountain and started that, raked the curb and the yard and enjoyed the outside weather! My Spring Break I really have like nothing planned. All were doing is just sitting at home and start packing for vacation and probably do some more yard work and paint the bathroom. Oh yes- Spring Break is officially 4, yes folks- 4 days away!

Have A Great Evening!

"Oklahoma"- the play not state

WELCOME!

Last night my family and I went to the Oklahoma play which was held at the school, and they did a GREAT JOB! I mean really, I thought it was going to be boring, but turns out it was Phenomenal!

Here is a picture of Faith and her friends after the play.

That's the only pic I got because we weren't allowed to take the camera inside the audiotorium.

Have A Good Sunday!

9 Years & Counting!......

WELCOME!

Today marks our 9th year here in America! I'm kinda excited it is. 9 years ago I left the Philippines and came here to America for a better life with my family. So yeah, 9 years! There has been a lot happening in almost the last decade. For once, we have visited a lot of countries, we've toured the world, Michelle was born, we moved to Indiana, new school, new friends- yup life is GREAT!

So today has been a long day! Today was the FFA District VI Convention in North Miami. It was a 2-hr drive and it was worth it! I had so much with friends! The bus ride, the demonstration, the quiz bowl results- yup were going state!-. Kris and I didn't do that bad, we just didn't get the top 3 places (there is always next year). In the end it was worth it! Waking up at 5am, and leaving yup day went by great!

So now, i'm here waiting til 6:30 til the play 'Oklahoma' starts. From people's review last night, it was really great- but then again Mr. Tatman, Mrs. Thomson, and Mr. Amstutz were the directors so of course it would go by great! I can't wait til the performance!- Well i'll probably blog about it tomorrow and possibly post pictures! Until tomorrow- break a leg!

Have A Great Evening!

Busy, Busy, Busy!

WELCOME!

Due to the fact that I have been busy the past couple of days, internet cut off, FFA demonstration, the "Around the World in 30 Posts" has been postponed to April! With that said, now the happenings in the past day or two..

Now since today is Ash Wednesday we Catholics must give something up for 40 days for Lent. For me, I won't say what I will give up cause it's my business you know. So went to Mass today at 4:30, I got to serve and Mrs. Minch read and Mr. Minch was one of the distributers, after that around 7:30 I attened the 2nd Mass with dad, and Faith. Due to the hectic schedule that Faith had after school practice for Oklahoma, Mom, Michelle and me went to the 4:30. The 7:30 had a great crowd of people! Like really. There was a lot of youth, but barely anyone in religious class.

Today was also scheduling for our Sophmore classes. Can you believe it less than 6 months and i'll be a Sophmore! It feels like yesterday I weas a Freshman! Oh Life, that's what happens when you are enjoying it too much. That's about all for today. I'm so tired I'm saving my homework for tomorrow morning.

This week is flying by! With the FFA Leadership after school from 6-9pm, the Oklahoma Play on Friday/ Saturday, the Demonstration at North Miami and Lent Season, and then next thing on my agenda in Driver's Ed in April, goodness gracious I'm going to need two of me!- Just kidding. I can handle it. Well that's all I have to say, tomorrow is going to be another long day, with leadership practice from 3:30pm-6pm and then Faith's play and then test on Friday for Algebra- gahh!!

Have A Great Day!

Day 3: Land of Fire!

So today is day 3 of our "Around the World in 30 posts". Today's famous landmark is: Tierra del Fuego located in Argentina!

Now many people hasn't heard of Tierra del Fuego before but here is some basic facts that you should know about it:

- Tierra del Fuego got its name from the campfires tended by one of its early settlers, the Yamana tribesmen
- Magellan was actually the one who first used the name Tierra del Fuego, thinking that the fires meant that the Indians where waiting to ambush his armada.
- This triangular archipelago is richly blessed with a multitude of natural attractions
- sailing
- sightseeing amongst glaciers
- trek along the forests
- hike its mountains
- fly-fishing in its waters

- largest city in Tierra del Fuego is Ushuaia

Well there ya have it folks, Tierra del Fuego!

Today's clue:

I am located in the continent Africa. I am close to the Atlantic Ocean. What country am I in? Where am I?

Tune in tomorrow for day 4 of our "Around the World in 30 posts"

Until next time.. have a great day!

A Very Tiring Day!

WELCOME!

So today would probably be one of the most exhausting day ever! I started out by going to school and after school we had Dairy Practice. So Kris and I attented until 4pm. Then when Mr. Shuck left Kris and I went to Mrs. Miller's room for her study tables so we did. After the study tables Kris, Jamey and I headed to the office. When I got to the office I saw Mrs. Sprunger! What a joy seeing her again! So we talked and catched up on a lot of things and after that we got ready to leave.

Then I decided to just wait a couple for minutes for my sister, so we did. After that we found out that there practice was over at 6 intsead of 5. So Kris, Jamey and I stayed around until 6 in the audiotorium- they were doing a very nice job! I Can't wait until the actual performance! Then Jamey went home and Faith got a ride with a neighbor! THanks neighbor! After that Kris and I stayed around for Leadership Practice. So we went to the pool, watched some swim meet and then just left.

When it was time for Leadership Practice, Kris and I decided to drop out Quiz Bowl and just stick to doing Dairy Judging and Demonstration. For demonstration we must do a presentation on how compost is formed and stuff. Mr. Shuck gave us a huge box thing, so we got working to it! So we will probably start working on it on Monday. I tell you it has been a very exhausting day! What I will need now, is a nice glass of ice tea, a slice of chocolate roll and turn on my favorite show- Jersey Shore!

Have A Great Day!

Angel Falls!

WELCOME!

So, the answer to today's "Around the World in 30 Posts" is:

Angel Falls!

Now Angel Falls is located in Venezuela. Yesterday was Brazil, today is Venezuela. As you can see that we are traveling the South American Continent. Here is a few facts about Angel Falls:

- it is located on the Churun River of the Guiana Highlands in southeastern Venezuela
- it spills from the Auyantepui into what is known as the Devil's canyon 979 Meters below.
- named after Jimmy Angel, an American pilot and gold-hunting adventurer, who discovered it in 1937.
- it is the highets waterfall in the world
- it is 20x higher than Niagra Falls!

Well as you can see, it is a pretty tall waterfall! This is another place that I want to visit if I ever go to South America. Don't you just want to dive from the top to the bottom? Pretty crazy if you asked me!

Today's clue: I was formerly the name given to the lands south of the Straits of Magellan. What place am I? Where am I located?

Want to find out more?? Check back tomorrow to find out where we are headed next!

Have A Great Day!

Around the World in 30 Posts!

WELCOME!

Aroud The World in 30 Days. Now Yesterday's Clue was: "I am a tall statue representing Christ. What am I? Where am I?"

The answer is: Christ Reedemer in Brazil!

Now, Christ Redeemer is a tall standing statue of Christ with his arms spreading out. The statue was built in the 1931. The construction started in 1922 and was completed by 1931. The cost of the monument was $250,000, which is pretty cheap compared to the statues that they are building now. It is located at Corcovado Mountain in the Tijuca Forest National Park overlooking the city.
The original design for this statue was made by a man named Oswald. He had designed it to have a globe in one, and standing over a pedestal symbolizing the world. The reason why it was built was to show that the Christ loves all. Whether you are a believer or a non believer.
On 7/ July, 2007, it was honored as one of the New Seven Wonders Of The World.
This is one of the neat cities that I want to go too. Who knows? Maybe I could travel there in a couple of years?

Today's Clue for Tomorrow: I pour out lots and lots of water. Where am I? What am I?

Tune in tomorrow to find out where we are going next on our Day 2 of Around the World in 30 Days! Until then, see ya!
