MABUHAY!
Summer 2012 is officially over. With only a couple of hours left until the new school year begins! As you can see, there is no Sunday post because this one happens to be a special post. Anyways... there are so many things that are going on this week, with school starting and meeting new people and looking forward to the people in your classes- it's hard to admit, but I think I am ready for the first day of school! This year as we know it there are a couple of staff changes not only in the High School but in the Middle & Elementary as well.
First of in the High School, Connie Shady has retired as our athletic director so Jenny Nuenschwander is her new replacement. She's very nice and organized! Gary McFarren has retired as English/ Mathematics Remediation teacher and Josh Hendrisxon has taken over. I think he is also the girls basketball coach- so I'm looking forward to meeting him and watching one of his games! Karen Martin has retired as the librarian and Mary Highley took over the new library position. I look forward to
getting to know these new staff members and seeing them in the school premises.
In the Middle School and High School with the retirement of 4/5 of the 4th Grade Teacher and 1/5 of the 5th Grade teacher there has been a couple of rearrangements and new faces as well. Even though I'm not in the Elementary anymore- I do look forward to working with the 5th grade teachers hopefully later on the year for our 2nd Annual "Around the World" cultures with our foreign exchange students.
Speaking of foreign exchange there are five (5) new students this year. They are all female with two coming from the same country; Germany, one from Mexico, Brazil & (forgot the other one). I can't wait to meet these ladies and get to know them even more and welcome them into our school, community and our Multicultural Group! Well what else is there to say? That pretty much sums up what is going on this week without pictures or images to sum it up. I do want to leave you with this music video. Enjoy!
Have A Great Day!
