As crazy as it seems, 21 years ago they were just getting married, 21 years later, living in America, 3 children, one son and two daughters, living a simple yet- succesful life!

So to my father and mother, Happy Anniversary! Thank You for being such great parents!

My Other "Friend" Acquaintance ...

MABUHAY!

So my dearest readers, it is Wednesday, which means I get to post about something/ someone or something random. Now today I am going to focus on my family and a friend in particular Cady Farlow. You might be wondering, why I would be posting about her, well to be honest, I sorta promised her- but not just that, but also because she fascinates me by the way she acts, she talks, and thinks. Now, with all that mumbo jumbo things said, let me begin.

Family- the most important thing to have in the world (besides God). They will be there with you no matter what situation, no matter what. Specially your parents, and my parents in particular, to my opinion, does such a great job raising her three children. Specially since one of them is going to be a priest one day, maybe a doctor for the other one and a lawyer for the other. Who knows? But all I have to say is that if there is anything I am ever grateful for besides God, I would have to say family. Yes we have all heard of the expression "money can't buy everything", well dawg- gone it, it sure doesn't! I mean money can't replace your father or mother, nor your siblings.

During the past years that I have been roaming this Earth, traveling to different cities around the world, I have begin to notice well more like say- I know, that nothing could ever be important than spending quality time with your familia. No matter who your friend is in life (besides God), your family will always be there for you no matter what! During the hardest times in your life, as long as you are with your family and you have enough faith to trust in the Man above, then you will survive. As a personal survivor from that, I experienced it coming here to America.

Coming to America was probably one of the most hardest things because I left everything behind, grandparents, cousins, aunts & uncles, great grandparents, and extended relatives. I knew that nothing could ever make me change my mind about moving here to America. Then I came to realize as I grew up, that it already did change. I became a better person, my family was always there with me every step of the way, and with the help of God, I know that we moved here for the best of it. So that is why family is very very very important.

Cady Farlow- You might be thinking, why would someone like her, ever talk to someone like me? Well to be honest, I ask my self that question every time I talk to her in Art. Cady and I have been good friends, (wouldn't really call it friends, more like acquaintances) since the beginning of this second semester. Again to be honest, I really don't know why she still talks to me, cause the last time an actual girl talked to me longer than a class period was probably Miss Monticue, it was because the next period was her prep so thats why. I still don't know why she doesn't hate me to this day for being a jerk at her.

Cady is one of the most successful freshman in High School. She gets about all A's in her quizzes in Geometry, and she has tons and tons of friends, and she loves to swim. She is such a dedicated swimmer. What I hear from people is that she would wake up early in the morning just to go swimming- now that is someone that is dedicated! From what I know she plays volleyball, she lives on the rich side of town, and she is a very good friend/ person. Cady is one of the people that you would least expect getting an B on a test or quiz. I have to say, her and I have had our fights in art class. Zach "Clay" says I supposedly called her a "dyke" because her and Ellie were going to watch "Prom Night" during Stardust night, but why would I call her that? She hasn't done anything to me, so why should I do that? It would be very un- Catholic of me!

Lastly, Miss Farlow is a red head. I'm not trying to make it sound real bad. There is absolutely nothing wrong with red heads. But anyways back to her, well from what I here from people and from past experience talking to her and actually having a good converstation with her, she is actually kind of funny. To me Cady is not only an acquaintance but also a friend. Now she might not claim me as a friend (but I don't see anyone that actually will), but to me she is one of my good friends. Trust me I rarely say that to someone unless they are really that special or friendly.

Into my daily life, well let's see, she manages to make me laugh sometimes, and she still owes me a birthday present. Just kidding, she doesn't. Believe it or not, but when Cady wasn't at school today due to the fact that she was sick, Art class was kind of boring. No one to make fun of, no female person to talk, and most of all, no one to ask questions about why she is a redhead. Again as I said, she is a good acquaintance and/or friend. I am thankful that she doesn't hate me- yet.

By the way, Cady if you are reading this, get well soon!!

Have A Wonderful Day!

Pro- Life

MABUHAY!

39 Years ago today, the Supreme Court made a tragic decision, by passing the
Roe v. Wade legalizing abortion within the United States. Today's president, sadly supports it. As a conservative Catholic, I stand up to my beliefs.

Really, there is no point to Abortion. If you didn't want the child in the first place, then learn to control yourself, and don't have sex! Every child is a gift from God, no matter how they looked like. But the problem that I don't get is that, we go to jail for life for murdering someone, but when people abort babies, it's all good. What has gotten into people in today society's mind? We have lost all the moral teachings, and the examples that our grandparents set for us. THis is a whole new society, everything is lost. How tragic. How tragic.

My Circle Of Friend(s)

MABUHAY!

As I said yesterday, under the post, "Trying Something New", I would add a little bit of excitement to my blog these next couple of days/ weeks. Anyways, today is Wednesday, which means that I get to blog about something relating to my life, or something far off topic. Today I am going to talk about my circle of friends. Now you might be wondering why the s is in () well, you know, in this life that we live in, nothing really seams to be correct anymore. We lost the morals and teachings that our grandparents set, and we just did whatever. That is how we ended with today's society. Tragic as it may seem, but it is true.

My circle of friends consists of mainly, Kris Patterson, Anie Habegger, Hannah Taing, Chris Inniger and Zach LeFever. You might be wondering, since when did he hang out with Chris I. and Zach L. to tell ya the truth, I don't actually I just talk to them ya know, makes my day go by a bit faster (since Patterson and I only have one class together). Now here is a little bit about them and about what they bring and contribute to my life on a daily basis.

Kris Patterson- He is probably one of the most weirdest kids that you will ever meet. Kris and I have been friends since the beginning of 8th grade school year. We have a lot of inside jokes together, we agree on pretty much EVERYTHING, and we do projects together alot. Like with Mrs. Minch's project, he doubted that we can do Saint Peter's Basilica, but when I manage to pull it off, he was the one with his jaw dropped to floor! Since the beginning of this semester we hadn't really been hanging out much because it's been cold and we hate walking in the snow and going to each other's houses. We do also share the same interests in television shows. He brings humor and laughter into my daily life.

Anie Habegger- One of the most toughest person that I know and probably ever known. I have gotten to know about Anie a lot since we met in 8th/9th Grade ish, both in Marching Band, both know her cousin, and she wants to be a cop/ law enforcer when she grow up. I have to say, Anie brings the adventures and stories into my daily life. You can go up to her and she can go on forever and ever with the same story but it never grows old!

Hannah Taing- Hannah, well nothing could describe her. She is probably the coolest Asian person that goes to our school. Now, Hannah and I have lots of things in common besides being Asian, were both part of the multicultural group in our school along with a couple of other people, and we both like rice, (not plain cause it's nasty), and were both in World History. Now, Hannah, brings different aspects to life. She can be random, but most of all a very good friend. She is the type of friend that you can trust with almost about anything (even your social security number). Hannah laughs at about anything which is good (I guess). In my life, as a friend, she brings, randomness, and homework help!

Chris Inniger - Oh my word, where do I begin with this kid? Ok- I know where. We were both in student council our 7th grade year, we call teachers by their first names, instead of their last names with the Mr. and Mrs. We have a lot of inside jokes, and we laugh at about some of the weirdest, dumbest, immature thing that ever happens. We are in the same art class and geometry class, and we make fun of the most dumbest things from looking at a pencil to, staring at the board with random laughness. Chris I, also known as "Mr. Darby" < --- (don't ask) brings joy, into my daily life.

Zach LeFever- Well, Zach and I don't really hang out, but when we talk, we talk about some of the weirdest things in life. When Zach and I talk normally, Chris Inniger is with him. I have art with him and Mr. Darby and may I say, we have theee bestest time in that class! Zach "Clay" brings weirdness, into my life.

Now- you may be wondering, if I actually hang out with these people. Too be honest, I do, I mean not all together cause we have our own groups, you know smart kids, not so smart kids, the players, the geeks, the nerds, you know what I mean? When I do hang out with these people, I have such a great time, for me that's the limit to life!

Trying Something New....

MABUHAY!

All you readers of my blog, mark this day, today is a whole new day and a start to a better future. For all you readers out there, within the next couple of days, I am going to be editing, adjusting, marking, and making this blog more interesting for people to read. I am aware, that even though people are reading my blog, I don't get too many people "excited" or what's the word i'm looking for ... anxious, about my blog. There are so many topics out there that I could talk about but I just don't imply it. From now on, starting tomorrow and every Wednesdays, I am going to post things that really interests people. Besides church stuff, and my day to day basis about my life (including travels), I am going to post stuff base on my opinions, beliefs, and maybe disagreements.

You might be asking, what sort of stuff, I am talkimg about, I know that I have posted many different stuff- well attempted to at least, about different countries and landmark, (yes I know I didn't do a good job of keeping it up), but I want to bring something to my readers that "wow"'s them! Besides my daily school life, my daily life, interesting things that happen. I want it to be different. I am also going to put, a word of the day along with its definition. I won't have a new word everyday, I will however on the day that I have a fresh post. Don't worry- I will still post stuff on here about me, and my interesting life.

By different I am saying, that I am giving this a whole new perspective. A whole new look, and a whole new way to view "Von Von's Voyages!". So tune in tomorrow, to see the whole new exciting way that I am blogging.

Thanks for reading,

Veettoooo

It's About Time!...

MABUHAY!

Anyways, today it snowed like crazy, and it looks like that we are going to get at least 2 inches of snow within the next couple of days. Now, if you know me well enough, I don't oppose to snow, however, I do hate it sometimes. I mean really, it's beautiful in all, it's white and very pertyyy, however, it is always cold, and when it piles up, it's too hard for me to plow.

So, tomorrow is the anuuals school dance known as, "Stardust". If you know me well enough, you know that I don't like dances, (really you wouldn't find a future priest, at a dance) but I would have went with you know who. Since she got a date, I was so close buying a ticket, but I didn't just want to. It didn't feel right going by myself. Kris, Perry, Parr and Landers didn't want to go either, so I was like, ehh.. i'll stay home, besides it's past my bedtime. If you people didn't know, I am a morning person, I go to bed at around 9, 9:30ish and I'm awake by 5:30 so that's why. Another reason is that church is the following day, so it just wouldn't work out. I would have went if I really really wanted to.

What else interesting happened to me this week?... Not much, we did however, have a two (2) hour delay today, which I really needed.

Well, that's all I got to say,

Until Next Time, God Bless,

Vitoo

"Faith Reigns!"

MABUHAY!

Today at the Philippines, we celebrated, well the Manilian's celebrated the Feast of the Black Nazarene!

This is a picture that I got from a random site here on the interweb.

Now, here is the picture of the actual statue that I saw with my own two eyes, when we had the opportunity to visit Quiapo Church this past summer.

The question is, What exactly is the Black Nazarene?

The answer is from my perspective and understanding,

Ok, so to my understanding and knowledge, the Black Nazarene Statue is a life size figure of Christ, carrying the cross to Mt. Calvary during Holy Week. Now, this statue is originally shipped from Mexico to the Philippines some 400 years ago, but when the ship caught on fire, miraculously, the statue itself did not burn, it just turned black, hence the name "The Black Nazarene". Now, there are people and testimonies, that claim that the statue is actually miraculous. Would I believe it, you bet I will, the problem is that it hasn't really happened for me, so I can't really tell you if it cured me or not. However, I do strongly believe that it is miraculous.

Now from reading articles online, streaming on and off to Masses, there were a total of about 3,000,000 (million), - yes, I'm not exaggerating, showed up for the procession, but some article say that 9,000,000 are also expected to show up by the end of the whole celebration. Now, I think that it set history because for once, the parade actually lasted longer than usual. 22 hours to be exact. That's ridiculous, for a procession of 3 miles, to go on for 22 hours- however, that is quite an impression, because it shows how many people are actually dedicated and truly love the Lord. Couple of injuries, but I'm sure that they are fine.

A nice picture where I found my blog post title. Read the little inscription that is noted on the pic.

Here is a link to see more of the pictures from the celebration of the 2012 Feast of the Black Nazarene.

First Week = Success/ Stressing!

Mabuhay Mga Kaibigan!

This week has been I would say "stressing" already. I mean it's only been the first week of the year, and the 3rd day of the new Semester, it's riduculous, specially when I have Honors English first (1st) period.

This week went by fast though.

On Tuesday, the day that we got back from break, our English Teacher Mr. Tatman, has been stressing us out by giving us ECA practices everyday this week! Of course, I have to pass ECA in order to take Advanced Placement English 11.

On the same day, I got news that in order for me to take Pre- Caculus as a Junior, I need to get a B or higher in Algebra II.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Moving on to Wednesday, we got the priviliged to start on stoichiomestry! Yipee, how fun, here comes the hard stuff!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now on to today, Thursday, not a lot of stuff, just reviewing concepts from last semester. You know, catching up with what we remember and what we need to know for this semesters final.

For Friday, (Thank God!), I will be off to First Friday/ Saturday at Saint Sebastian's Catholic Church in Ohio. I look forward to it every month!

Oh yes- what a way to end my week. Praying, reparating, confessing, and Adoring Christ truly present in the Eucharist! What a stress- free weekend this will be. Nothing to worry about.

Have A Great Weekend!
