3 Things ~ 3 Days..

MABUHAY!

It's Wednesday and today I get to blog about stuff and things. Today I want to talk about 3 things. They consist of the play this weekend, gardening, and 3rd week of Lent. First thing first. As we all know, South Adams Music Department puts on a musical every year. Last year being "Oklahoma" and this year being "Annie Get Your Gun". As we all know it is directed by Mr. Tatman (the English teacher), Mr. Amstutz (the band director) is in charge of the orchestra, Mrs. Thomson (the choir director) is in charge of the chorus. As far as the decorations go, I have no idea who is in charge of the make up and all that. Anyways, with only 2 days left until opening night, to all of the musical cast break a leg!

The second thing on the agenda is, gardening season! As most of you are aware, I like to garden. It's kind of a hobby of mines along with my mother and may I say, I enjoy gardening with her every morning of the Spring season! There are two things about this season that I agree on and disagree on.

1) Good Thing ~ the snow has barely touched the ground this year. Not complaining or anything. Let's keep it this way.
2) Bad Thing ~ it has been raining and it has pouring and drenched and the ground and soil has been so disgusting! It's hard to plant in that!

The final thing that I want to blog about is the 3rd Sunday of Lent. Here is the reading for this Sunday's Mass. Courtesy of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops website.

Gospel Jn 2:13-25

Since the Passover of the Jews was near,
Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
He found in the temple area those who sold oxen, sheep, and doves,
as well as the money changers seated there.
He made a whip out of cords
and drove them all out of the temple area, with the sheep and oxen,
and spilled the coins of the money changers
and overturned their tables,
and to those who sold doves he said,
"Take these out of here,
and stop making my Father's house a marketplace."
His disciples recalled the words of Scripture,
Zeal for your house will consume me.
At this the Jews answered and said to him,
"What sign can you show us for doing this?"
Jesus answered and said to them,
"Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up."
The Jews said,
"This temple has been under construction for forty-six years,
and you will raise it up in three days?"
But he was speaking about the temple of his body.
Therefore, when he was raised from the dead,
his disciples remembered that he had said this,
and they came to believe the Scripture
and the word Jesus had spoken.

While he was in Jerusalem for the feast of Passover,
many began to believe in his name
when they saw the signs he was doing.
But Jesus would not trust himself to them because he knew them all,
and did not need anyone to testify about human nature.
He himself understood it well.

Have A Great Day!
